Under Vehicle Inspection System (UVIS)

The Under Vehicle Inspection System (UVIS) developed by Optima Engineering is a security technology used to detect potential hazards and security threats by scanning underneath of vehicles which are passing through high security points. This system inspects the underside of vehicles, detects dangerous materials placed underneath and transmits them to security personnel in real time and helps to ensure security quickly.

The Under Vehicle Inspection System scans the underside of the passing vehicle with a high-resolution camera, which has the ability to take colour images. The image from the camera, is transferred to Optima's in-house developed under vehicle software. Integrated with Optima License Plate Recognition System (ALPR), Under Vehicle Inspection System becomes a much more efficient control system.

Optima Under Vehicle Inspection System, which records all scans, stands out with its accessibility and user-friendly structure when it comes to analysing past records. The first image and the last image of the vehicle passing over UVIS are compared on the screen to determine the difference between the two images, and the threat is shown to the user in a red frame. Thus, if there is a suspicious object under the vehicle, it is automatically detected by the system. Optima Under Vehicle Inspection System can easily scan under vehicles travelling up to 50 km/h.

UVIS, which is completely domestically produced by Optima Engineering, is also available in Surface Mount version for areas where there is no option for excavation, apart from the  Flush Mount type. The system is manufactured under ISO9001 quality standards. The remaining part of the highly durable main body above the ground is made of stainless steel, so that the Under Vehicle Inspection System operates smoothly in harsh environmental conditions.
